Public Consultation, Friday 19 February

Public Consultation, Friday 19 February

Proposal at THE QUEEN’S CLUB

I am writing to invite you to a virtual public consultation event in respect of The Queen’s Club to discuss our future plans to improve the existing facilities in order to meet pressures for lawn tennis courts during the winter months and diversify our racquet sports offering.

We wish to consult you on the following proposals:

  1. Installation of 2x padel courts with floodlights, alongside the eastern wall of indoor courts nos. 3-6 and associated relocation of car parking spaces; and
  2. Erection of floodlights to outdoor courts A1 and A2.

Membership numbers will not be increased as a result of the proposals and the current summer playing hours will not be exceeded.

The proposals have been subject to initial pre-application discussions with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham planning, heritage, environmental health and highways officers.

I am excited by our proposals; which I hope you will be able to support. Unfortunately given the current Government guidelines surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, we will be unable to meet you in person to discuss. In place of a physical public exhibition, a virtual Public Consultation via Zoom Meetings will be held on Friday 19 February 2021 between 5.30-7.00pm. You do not need to pre-register and the Zoom Meetings log in details are below. At the meeting we will deliver a presentation on the proposals and there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions.
